| Lot 71 | Shedplates9B (LMS Pattern)A shedplate 9B Stockport Edgeley (1935 to May 1968). The ex LNWR shed at Stockport housed only 25 locos in the 1950s, but this increased to 35 during the twilight of steam in the 1960s. Most famous resident was undoubtedly the double chimney Jubilee 45596 Bahamas. This LMS style plate has two additional holes which enabled it to be fitted to a smokebox that had been drilled to carry a Midland Railway shedplate. The front background has been repainted but not the back, rim or characters. £150-300 |
