A smokebox numberplate 40589 from a LMS Class 2P 4-4-0 No 589 built at Derby in 1928. It spent most of its BR days at Rhyl from where it was withdrawn in November 1959 and cut up at Crewe Works. Repainted. £300-500
 This lot sold for £300 to bidder number 9245.
