Cabside Numberplates

SAR, 2764, 19D
A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 2764, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 19D 4-8-2 built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns, Works No 7277, in 1947. A versatile Class, they were one of the last steam types to see regular use in South Africa. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", in ex loco condition. £150-300
