| Lot 65 | Smokeboxes6915 (Mursley Hall)A smokebox numberplate, 6915, from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in February 1941 and named when built MURSLEY HALL after a country house in the village of Mursley, Buckinghamshire, demolished in the 1960s. Allocated to Oxley by January 1948, its later sheds included Swindon, Bristol Bath Road, Didcot, Shrewsbury and Banbury from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 13 February 1965 and sold for scrap to Cohens at Morriston. The front repainted. £400-600 |
