| Lot 79 | Smokeboxes45218A smokebox numberplate 45218 from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5218 built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 1259, and allocated new to Bank Hall on 26 November 1935, becoming BR 45218. A much travelled engine, its later sheds included Huddersfield, Wakefield, Southport, Carlisle Canal and Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 16 April 1966 and sold for scrap to J. MacWilliam at Shettleston. Repainted. £300-500 |
