Winterthur, 3215, 1927
A worksplate, WINTERTHUR, SCHWEIZERISCHE LOCOMOTIV & MASCHINENFABRIK 3215 of 1927 from a 3ft 6ins gauge 2-6-6-0 Mallet of an order of 10 supplied to Stats Spoorwegen, the Dutch colonial system in Java, as No 1613. After independence it became CC50 class No CC5015. These magnificent engines were the world's last commercially working main line Mallets, to be found on lines east of Bandung until the early 1980s. Three of the class, but not this engine, are preserved. Cast brass, 16½"x5¾", the front repainted. £300-500
