Single Line Staffs

Padiham Branch
A one engine in steam train staff, PADIHAM BRANCH, used on the Blackburn to Rose Grove loop line via Great Harwood and Padiham which closed to passengers in 1957 and to freight in 1964. The name is on a brass plate, with an additional cast brass plate on the other side, THIS STAFF MUST NOT BE THROWN DOWN OR ALLOWED TO FALL. Wooden with brass plate and steel caps at ends, length 16¾". £500-800
