| Lot 26 | Smokeboxes67601A smokebox numberplate, 67601, from a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T No 2901 built at Doncaster, Works No 1746, in October 1930. It was renumbered 7601 in 1946 and became BR 67601. Always an Eastfield engine and one of a handful of the class not rebuilt as a V3, it was withdrawn from there on 22 January 1962 and cut up at Darlington Works. The front repainted. £300-500 |
