| Lot 94 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 3829, from a 2884 Class 2-8-0 built at Swindon in November 1940. Allocated to Banbury by January 1948, its later sheds included Chester, Tyseley, Oxley, Pontypool Road and Croes Newydd from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 7 March 1964 and sold for scrap to Central Wagon Co at Wigan, despatched to them on 29 June 1964. Cast iron, repainted. £500-800 |
