Great Central Railwayana Auction Sale 216, Auction Lot 65
Lot 65 A nameplate, CANADA, from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No 5553, the second of the Class built at Crewe and allocated new to Camden in May 1934. It was named in March 1937 and became BR 45553. A much travelled loco, its later sheds included Rugby, Longsight, Crewe South and Crewe North from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 7 November 1964 and despatched for scrap to T W Ward at Beighton on 11 February 1965. Cast brass, 29" long, the front repainted. £8000-10000
