| Lot 458 | A worksplate, HENSCHEL, 29609, 1957, from a 3ft 6ins gauge South African Railways Class GMAM 4-8-2+2-8-4 No 4150. This was a very successful Class of Garratts and the most numerous in the world, 120 being built between 1953 and 1958. They were the last class of Garratt to remain in service with the SAR and all but three were withdrawn from service by April 1988. Cast brass, 11½"x5¾", in ex loco condition. £100-200 |
