| Lot 418 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 5563, from a 4500 Class 2-6-2T built at Swindon in December 1928. Allocated to Swindon by January 1948, it spent most of its BR days at Yeovil, first at Pen Mill and then Town from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 5 September 1964 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Morrison on 14 October 1964. Cast iron, the front repainted. £300-500 |
