| Lot 58 | Worksplates (Diesel)English Electric, 2276 / D355, 1955A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/VULCAN FOUNDRY, 2276/D355, 1955, from a New Zealand Railway DG Class diesel electric No 772 which was renumbered DG 2255 in 1979 and, on withdrawal in 1983, saved by the Diesel Traction Group and took part in the Rail 125 celebrations in 1988. Overhauled to main line standard in 2009, it has run on several excursions and also at the Ferrymead Heritage Park. Cast brass, 17"x10½", the front repainted. £350-500 |
