Sister Dora, Badge
A locomotive badge from Class 31, 31 530 SISTER DORA. Named at Bescot depot on 9 October 1988 by the Vice Chairman of Walsall Heath Authority to commemorate the work of Dorothy Windlow Pattison (1832 to 1878), a local nurse who administered to the sick during a smallpox epidemic in the West Midlands. She was affectionately known as Sister Dora. This badge was added when the loco was renumbered from 31430 in May 1990. All plates were removed in February 1996. Cast aluminium, 12¼"x8", ex loco condition. £300-500
