Caxton Hall
A nameplate, CAXTON HALL, from a GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 No 5922 built at Swindon in May 1933 and named after the iconic public building in the City of Westminster. Allocated to Old Oak Common by January 1948, it moved the following year to Swindon where it spent most of its BR days before a final move in October 1961 to Oxford from where it was withdrawn on 6 January 1964 and cut up at Swindon Works. The right hand side plate, the back stamped, R.IN, No 5922, LOT 281. £3000-5000
