| Lot 490 | A smokebox numberplate, 48000, from a LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8000, the Class leader, built at Crewe and allocated new to Toton on 19 June 1935. Its BR sheds included Kirkby, Nottingham and Stockport from where it was withdrawn on 18 March 1967 and despatched for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge on 17 August 1967. Repainted. £700-1000 |
