| Lot 435 | A GWR cabside numberplate 7231 from a 7200 Class 2-8-2T rebuilt at Swindon in December 1935 from an earlier 4200 Class 2-8-0T No 5266 built in March 1926. A long time Ebbw Junction engine, it moved to Barry in September 1962 and later Radyr and Llanelly from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 3 October 1964 and sold for scrap to Steel Supply (Western) at Swansea on 19 November 1964. Cast iron, repainted. £300-500 |
