| Lot 360 | A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC, ROBERT STEPHENSON & HAWTHORNS, 1734/E7490, 1951, from a New Zealand Government Railways Class EW 1800hp Bo-Bo-Bo articulated electric loco No EW 1804, one of seven built to serve Wellington's suburban system. It entered service in October 1952, was renumbered EW 159 in about 1978, withdrawn in 1983, written off at Woburn Railway Workshops, Wellington on 28 February 1987 and scrapped in about July 1987 at Seaview Sims Pacific Steel. Cast brass, 16¾"x10¼", in ex loco condition. £250-400 |
