| Lot 189 | A (GWR) cabside numberplate 8471 from a 9400 Class 0-6-0PT built by Yorkshire Engine Co, Works No 2464. Allocated new to Merthyr on 21 May 1951 and later all four Cardiff sheds, Cathays, Radyr, Canton and East Dock, before finishing its days at Gloucester and Bristol Barrow Road from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 12 June 1965 and despatched for scrap to T.W. Ward at Briton Ferry on 16 August 1965. Cast brass, the front repainted. £350-500 |
