| Lot 398 | A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 24963, 1944, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order in September 1944, WD No 77292. Loaned to the LNER in March 1947, allocated to Gorton, and purchased by BR as 90358. Its BR sheds included Colwick, Mexborough and Canklow from where it was withdrawn on 25 November 1963 and later scrapped. Cast white brass, 13¾"x5", in ex loco condition, the top rim stamped H.P.. £300-400 |
