| Lot 348 | A worksplate, LMS BUILT 1945 DERBY, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-4T No 2688 which became BR 42688. Allocated new to Ardrossan and later Polmadie, Corkerhill and Greenock Ladyburn before moving to Beattock in January 1965 where it was used as one of the regular Shap banking locos for more than ten years. Withdrawn from Beattock on 8 May 1965, it was sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw. Cast iron, 10¼"x6", in ex loco condition. £200-350 |
