| Lot 228 | A smokebox numberplate, 45005, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5005 built at Crewe in 1935, becoming BR 45005. Allocated new to Crewe North in March 1935, its later sheds included Inverness, Carlisle Kingmoor and Edge Hill, where it spent its final fourteen years until withdrawal in the week ending 27 January 1968, and despatched for scrap to George Cohen at Kettering on 9 May 1968. Repainted. £250-400 |
