| Lot 208 | A worksplate, HAWTHORN LESLIE 3658, 1926. From a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new to Denaby Main Colliery Co, Ltd, near Doncaster, named SPROTBOROUGH. Later became Amalgamated Denaby Collieries Ltd. Taken over by the NCB in January 1947 and numbered 38. Overhauled at Elsecar workshops around 1961 and continued to work at Denaby colliery until scrapped in June 1966. Cast brass, 13"x8½", the front repainted. £150-250 |
