| Lot 351 | A nameplate THE INTERNATIONAL BRIGADES, SPAIN, 1936 - 1939, with badge, from Class 90 90015. New to Willesden in November 1988; its BBC NORTH WEST plates were exchanged for this name which was unveiled at Stoke on Trent station in February 1998 in memory of the anti-fascist foreign volunteers who fought on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War. While in service with Greater Anglia these plates were removed and the loco now carries COLCHESTER CASTLE plates. Cast aluminium, length 80¾", the badge 15¾" square, both in ex loco condition. £1000-1500 |
