| Lot 342 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 3835, from a 2884 Class 2-8-0 built at Swindon in January 1942. Allocated to Oxford by January 1948, it moved in 1954 to Banbury and later Reading, Cardiff Canton, Severn Tunnel Junction and Didcot from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 26 December 1964 and cut up at Swindon Works. Cast iron, in ex loco condition. £450-600 |
