| Lot 335 | A smokebox numberplate, 92207, from a BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 built at Swindon and allocated new to St Philips Marsh on 1 June 1959 and later Southall and Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn on 26 December 1964 and sold for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry on 11 February 1965. Saved for preservation, it went from Barry in October 1986 to the East Lancashire Railway and in 2005 moved to the Shillingstone Railway Project in Dorset for restoration but is now believed to be at a privately owned site. Repainted. £350-500 |
