| Lot 450 | A smokebox numberplate, 5502, from a GWR 4500 Class 2-6-2T built at Swindon in May 1927. It spent all its BR days at St Blazey from where it was withdrawn in the fortnight ending 17 March 1956, only to be reinstated until finally withdrawn on 14 July 1958 and despatched for scrap to Cashmores at Newport on 6 April 1959. Repainted. £250-400 |
