| Lot 278 | A smokebox numberplate, 47235, from a Midland Railway 2441 Class 0-6-0T No 2756 built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 1788, in 1902, renumbered 1935 in 1907 and 7235 by the LMS in 1934, becoming BR 47235. It spent its BR days at Grimesthorpe and Walton from where it was withdrawn on 10 October 1962 and despatched for scrap to Cashmores at Great Bridge on 20 September 1963. The front repainted. £200-350 |
