| Lot 172 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 2903, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 15F 4-8-2 built by Berliner Maschinenbau, Works No 10821, in 1938. The Class saw service on every system in South Africa and many were still working as late as 1984. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", cleaned but unpainted. £300-500 |
