| Lot 169 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 4574, from a 4500 2-6-2T built at Swindon in November 1924. A long time Penzance engine, it moved in January 1957 to Truro and later St Blazey, Newton Abbot and Laira from where it was withdrawn on 1 March 1963 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Newport on 11 June 1964. Cast iron, the front repainted. £400-600 |
