| Lot 120 | A worksplate, GNR(I), 1931, DUNDALK. No locomotives were built at Dundalk in 1931 or thereabouts but the Company's railcars Nos 7 and 8 were built there in 1931 and it is believed that this plate, from the H.C. Casserley collection, may well come from one of those railcars, both of which were withdrawn in 1949. The alternative is that was a tender built as a replacement for an older tender. Cast brass, 8¼"x4½", the front repainted. £100-200 |
