| Lot 378 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 7218, from a 7200 Class 2-8-2T rebuilt at Swindon in November 1934 with trailing axle and increased coal capacity from 4200 Class 2-8-0T No 5293 built at Swindon in October 1930. Allocated to Leamington by January 1948, its later sheds included Ebbw Junction, Oxford, Oxley and Banbury from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 5 September 1964 and despatched for scrap to George Cohen at Kettering on 14 November 1964. Cast iron, repainted. £500-600 |
