| Lot 262 | A headboard, THE MERSEYSIDE EXPRESS, as carried on the Euston to Liverpool (Lime Street) express which included a single composite coach for Southport (Chapel Street). This style of headboard was introduced in about 1951. The train's last titled run was on 16 April 1966. Cast aluminium, 40"x19", in ex loco condition; a crack at the centre repaired with a steel plate riveted to the rear by BR. £1500-2000 |
