| Lot 170 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 5188, from a 5101 Class 2-6-2T built at Swindon in April 1931. Allocated to Tyseley by January 1948, its later sheds included Stafford Road, Ebbw Junction and Severn Tunnel Junction from where it was withdrawn on 19 July 1962 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Newport on 14 November 1962. Cast iron, repainted; remains of the original fixing bolts still present. £500-600 |
