| Lot 105 | A smokebox numberplate, 40183 from a LMS Class 3 2-6-2T No 183 built at Derby and allocated new to Holbeck on 12 May 1938. Its later sheds were Manningham, Normanton, Hellifield, Lostock Hall and Lower Darwen from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 28 October 1961 and despatched for scrap to T. Burton at Middleton Goods Yard, Lancaster on 22 February 1962. Repainted; a neat weld repair to the left of the number 1. £300-500 |
