| Lot 177 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 487, 6A, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Cape Government Railways 6th Class 4-6-0 No 660 built by Dubs & Co, Works No 3469, in 1897 for passenger duties on the CGR's Eastern System. It became SAR Class 6A No 487 in 1912 and the last of the class were withdrawn in 1973. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front repainted. £300-500 |
