| Lot 72 | A worksplate, LMS, BUILT 1884, ST ROLLOX. Locos built by the Caledonian Railway at St Rollox in 1884 included 171 Class 0-4-4T all of which were withdrawn in the 1920s, and two 294 Class 0-6-0 Nos 353/4 both of which survived until the early 1960s as 57250 and 57251, so this plate is almost certainly from one of those two. Cast brass, 10½"6", the front repainted. £300-500 |
