| Lot 489 | A worksplate, BALDWIN, 72669, 1946, from a 3ft 6ins gauge 2-8-2, one of six ordered by The United Fruit Company for the Compania Bananera De Costa Rica to a design based on the Denver & Rio Grande K36 Class of 1925. The UFC ordered many like this for its Central America lines. It is now preserved at Palma Sur in Costa Rica. Cast brass, 14½"x9¾", the front repainted. £250-400 |
