| Lot 37 | A smokebox numberplate, 63453, from a North Eastern Railway Class T2, LNER Q6 Class, 0-6-0 No 2296 built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 44, in December 1920. It was renumbered 3453 in 1946 and became BR 63453. At Newport NER by January 1948, its later sheds included Selby, Blaydon and Tyne Dock from where it was withdrawn on 2 October 1966 and cut up by Drapers at Hull in the week ending 17 December 1966. Ex loco condition but with a weld repair. £300-500 |
