| Lot 357 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, 1400, DONCASTER, 1913, from a GNR Class J22 0-6-0 No 565 built at Doncaster in August 1913, which became LNER J6 Class No 3565 and was renumbered 4214 in 1946, becoming BR 64214. Allocated to Ardsley by January 1948, it moved in May 1951 to Boston from where it was withdrawn on 19 October 1959 and subsequently scrapped. Fully engraved brass, 12¼"x7½", the front lightly polished, the back stamped 4214, 565. £500-800 |
