| Lot 34 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 2845, from a 2800 Class 2-8-0 built at Swindon in November 1912. Allocated to Old Oak Common by January 1948, its later sheds included Reading, Southall, St Philips Marsh, Ebbw Junction, Pontypool Road and Banbury from where it was withdrawn on 24 May 1963 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 13 December 1963. Cast brass, the front repainted. £800-1200 |
