| Lot 255 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 67686, DONCASTER WORKS, 1939, from a LNER V3 Class 2-6-2T No 395, built at Doncaster, Works No 1906, in December 1939, one of the final batch of ten of the Class built as V3s. It was renumbered 7686 in 1946 and became BR 67686. At Middlesbrough by January 1948 and later Hull Botanic Gardens and Hull Dairycoates from where it was withdrawn on 23 September 1963 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. £150-300 |
