| Lot 170 | A worksplate, LMS REBUILT 1910, ST ROLLOX. The works only rebuilt four locomotives in this year, all Caledonian Railway class 294 0-6-0 Jumbos, their BR numbers, last shed and withdrawal dates being as follows; 57271, Polmadie, October 1961; 57278, Motherwell, June 1963; 57292, Polmadie, November 1961; and 57323, Carstairs, June 1951. All were originally built at St Rollox except 57278 which was supplied by Neilson. Cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted. £400-500 |
