| Lot 432 | A numberplate, No. 62048, 1948, from a K1 Class 2-6-0 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26652, and allocated new to Darlington on 21 October 1949. Its later sheds were Heaton, Haverton Hill, York North, Darlington again and West Hartlepool from where it was withdrawn on 19 June 1967 and sold for scrap to Garnham Harris at Chesterfield. Engraved brass, 12¼"x6½", lightly cleaned. £200-350 |
