| Lot 378 | A smokebox numberplate, 65811, from a North Eastern Railway Class P3, LNER J27 Class, 0-6-0 No 1015 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 18356, in May 1908. It was renumbered 5811 in 1946 becoming BR 65811. It spent almost all its BR days at North Blyth with a final few months at Sunderland from where it was withdrawn on 9 September 1967 and sold for scrap to T.J. Thomson at Stockton. The front repainted, a weld repair between the 5 and 8. (See also next Lot) £300-500 |
