| Lot 283 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, DONCASTER, 1327, 1912, from a GNR/LNER N1 Class 0-6-2T, GNR No 1582, LNER 4582, renumbered 9462 in 1946, becoming BR 69462. At Kings Cross by January 1948 and later Hatfield, Hornsey and Copley Hill from where it was withdrawn on 3 April 1959 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 17½"x9½", unpolished, the back stamped 4582 and 9462; hairline cracks around the bolt holes. £600-900 |
