| Lot 80 | Smokeboxes5605A smokebox numberplate, 5605, from a GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T built at Swindon in January 1925. Allocated to Cardiff Cathays by January 1948, it spent most of its BR days at Merthyr before moving towards the end to Abercynon, Rhymney, Tyseley and Croes Newydd from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 21 May 1966 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 9 November 1966. Ex loco condition. £250-400 |
