| Lot 44 | Cabside NumberplatesSAR, 984, 7A South African Railways cabside numberplate 984 from a Cape Government Railway 3ft 6ins gauge 7th Class 4-8-0 No 714 built by Neilson & Co, Works No 4474, in 1893, becoming SAR Class 7 No 984 in 1912. Many of the Class were used on branch line work until the late 1960s and all were finally withdrawn by 1972. Cast brass, 20¾"x14¼", ex loco condition. £250-400 |
