A Great Western Railway tipstaff, brass with ribbed ebony centrepiece, the top, in the form of a crown, unscrews in order to insert a warrant. Overall length 7½", the body clearly stamped GWR, 5. £1000-1500
 This lot sold for £2,000 to bidder number 1080.
