A cabside numberplate, SOUTHERN RAILWAY B 207, from a London Brighton & South Coast Railway B2 Class 4-4-0 No 207 built at Brighton in June 1897 and named BRUNEL. It was rebuilt with a larger boiler in July 1909 and re-classified to B2X class, becoming SR B207, by which time it had lost its name. It was withdrawn by the SR in October 1931 and its tender was rebuilt at Ashford Works as a brake van No 55180 for use on the Folkestone Harbour branch. Cast brass, 13½"x7½", in ex loco condition. £1000-1500 |
